Expo to highlight latest in printing technology and equipment

The Specialty Printing and Imaging Technology SGIA Expo is taking place in Orlando, Florida for three days in October, with the IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo and the Advanced Textiles Conference and Trade Show set to run at the same time. All three are bound to be of great interest to those working for printing companies.

The SGIA (Special Graphic Imaging Association) Expo will be divided into several zones, such as ones relating to digital apparel, PDAA graphics application, and color management. There will be over 100 workshops on topics like printing on glass, special effect techniques for printed garments, and finding savings and profit before and after the print. Several keynote breakfasts and networking receptions will feature, and exhibitors will be showcasing their latest products and equipment while also taking part in a number of competitions.

A range of awards will be presented during the expo as well, including the Golden Image award, Product of the Year, and the ASDPT Tom Frecska Student Competition. All in all, there should be plenty of interest to anyone who works for a graphic design or print company and wants to benefit from the advice of industry experts.

The expo will take place at the Orange County Convention Center, South Building in Orlando from October 23 - 25. There are several levels of tickets and various prices for events, with fees for SGIA members who want to attend for the full three days set at $315, while non-members pay $395. Three workshop sessions are $80 for members and $115 for non-members. To learn more about the expo, visit the SGIA website.
