Major print associations undergo merger

The Association of Marketing Service Providers (AMSP), the National Association for Print Leadership (NAPL), and the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) have recently merged into one organization.

NAPL members overwhelmingly voted in favor of this move, which received a 97% approval rating. This is expected to give all members much more in terms of services and be a boost to the United States printing industry.

The organization will likely become the premier association to represent print, marketing services, mail, and fulfillment providers. The group has also recently announced two upcoming conferences which will take place in the Midwest United States this year.

The annual conference is slated to take place at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee from June 9 to 12. This will be followed by the Owners Conference, which is being held in Chicago from September 25 to 28. Immediately following this is the opening of Graph Expo 2014 which takes place from September 28 to October 1, which is aimed at quick and small printing companies. In addition, there will be a NAPL conference taking place in Chicago around the time of the expo, for which a date has yet to be confirmed.

The new merged organization will also be present at Graph Expo to promote their services and educational programs that are available to members.

AMSP Board Chair Tom Duchene states that this merger is designed to:

"…effectively serve our customer’s marketing communication needs in our rapidly-changing world."

He will become the Chairman of the Board for the merged organization.
