Print Magazine seeks entries for its annual design competition

Print Magazine is currently accepting submissions for its 32nd Regional Design Annual. It is open to designers, typographers, illustrators, and photographers from all over the United States, many of whom are employed by graphics and printing companies.

Items for the contest must be submitted online and each entry can have as many as 10 files in several formats, such as .gif and .jpg. There are 16 categories of awards, which include everything from annual reports and announcements, to brochure and catalog printing. In order to be eligible, all works must have been published or printed between January and December of 2013.

The winners will be featured in the December 2014 edition of the magazine, mentioned on the Regional Design website, and alluded to in other advertising. Those successful will be notified by August 31.

Contests such as this help to keep people on top of their game and allow them to see what their peers are doing. It is hoped that the winners will influence much of the design that will be seen in 2015.

Submissions uploaded by February 3 will cost $75 per entry or $100 for each campaign or series. The final deadline will be March 3, for which costs will be $85 for entry or $110 for a campaign. Items considered to be a campaign or series include those used in advertising, several brochures, or as covers for several books. For more information about the contest, call 715-445-4612 x13430.
